I took a Caribbean vacation with
just my hubby when my baby boy was 8 months old, and I had a LOT of
feelings to process before the trip about the decision to leave him
at home with grandma. Once we got on the trip, I had even more
feelings to process, which were different than expected, and now
that it’s been a couple of months since the trip, I can really
reflect back on these feelings in a more neutral way.
If you feel like you can’t take
a vacation because you have a little one, you aren’t alone, but
hopefully this chat will give you the perspective and permission to
see how it can be possible for you, too. Yes, even with all of the
worries!
